Welcome 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and Algebra Students and Parents
I wanted to take a moment to welcome everyone back to school and touch base on my expectations for the year. First thing is I want to let you know that your success is very important to me, I want to see everyone succeed in the classroom. With that being said you have to take on the responsibility of coming to class ready to learn and get work done on time. I have six math classes that I have to grade and keep track of, so I will not be giving credit for unexcused late work. Please make sure you are getting work handed in on time. I also realize math may not be everyone's favorite subject. I am asking you to give it a chance though. I am a very patient teacher who is always willing to help and find/learn new ways to help you understand. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to email me at jkearn@usd108.org, or message me on Facebook. I will try to have grades updated weekly so you can keep track of your progress. The Jr. High and High School now have an academic policy, which states any student receiving below a 60% in any class will be ineligible for the week until grade is brought up. I think it is important for the younger grades to know this so they can start to develop good study habits and keep their grades up.
I really enjoy working with all the kids and my door is always open for help. Please don't be afraid to talk to me with questions and concerns, I am here to help!
